Pain in the neck, either chronic or recurrent, is a very common problem during these days that we are many days in front of the computes. Reflexology can provide quick relief, especially for the or tightness throat caused by stress and another situations.
How reflexology is used to relieve neck pain
The thumb and fingers slowly massaged the feet, applying localized pressure on specific reflex points. The use of the thumb is the technique of reflexology most common. The outer edge of the thumb moves slowly along the relevant areas of the foot. You can also use the index finger massage the same way. Another technique is to exert constant pressure on one point. Reflex points in the feet that correspond to the neck include:
- The reflex areas of the spine are inside or medial border of the foot.
- The medial side of the right foot corresponds to the right side of the spine.
- The left foot side corresponds to the left side of the spine.
- The edge of the foot near the big toe corresponds to the cervical spine.
- The bottom of the toes on both sides (top and bottom) correspond to the neck.
Reflex shoulder areas are located outwardly of the anterior third of the foot. The top of shoulders correspond with a line located along the top of the foot just below the fingers.
Also neck pain is treated with the sacrum point, located in the lower medial edge of the foot, and the area of the spine in the middle of the medial edge.
